Still has the original 170 cubic inch straight six engine with a 3 speed manual transmission with column shift. The transmission shifts smoothly and the clutch feels very good. The engine smokes a little and I imagine it uses some oil but it runs terrific

This car has recently been through an amateur restoration. The body was removed, floor pans replaced, and undercoated. The engine was professionally rebuilt and has about 300 miles on it since rebuild. There are many new parts, and some extra parts as well. The paint is definitely an amateur job, it has a lot of orange peeling and a few runs, but looks fantastic from about 10 feet away. The front seats have been repadded and recovered. The restoration is in my opinion about 85% complete, with the wipers and a few other items not yet installed. Any rust has been completely removed and the area repaired. There are not a bunch of rust blisters everywhere as is common to these cars. The car does not currently have a top but I have ordered a new top frame and top, one installed the top will raise the price 1500 to $10,495. All the valuation sites value a Thing in this condition at $15,000 , but we bought it right so we can sell it right.

It runs and drives and stops as it should. It has been converted to electronic ignition, and an alternator,but it is still a 6 volt positive ground system. The headlights are currently not working, i suspect the swith but just havent had time to chase it down. Oogah horn is new and works perfectly. Period correct flat head 4 cylinder (might be original but dont know) still has fuel mixture knob on dash, timing and idle controls on steering wheel. Paint is a 6/10 maybe even 5/10 it shows nice from 10 feet but will need a paint job to be really nice. Interior is a 7-8/10 and was partially redone in the last few years. There is no serious rust. Tires and wheels in very good condition. This was a nice original old car that someone started to restore and did not finish. Price is firm but trades will be considered.

I got this from the grandson of the original owner whose grandparents bought brand new in 1959 from the ford dealer in palm springs california they retired to palm springs, and lived the rest of their life there. They always had it serviced, and it comes with the owner’s manual, and service records this is a very rare 1959 t-bird because it’s one of very few with factory air conditioning, a factory power seat (still works) automatic transmission, power steering, power windows, (all 4-still work), and working original tube style am radio. The car needs a light restoration but is a great base to start with. There are no rust holes, or any major rust anywhere. There are specks of very minor surface rust, but no bubbles, or any soft spots. 4 new tires and new brakes all around. Gas tank was hot tank cleaned and reinstalled, bad fuel lines were replaced, the fuel pump was replaced and the carburetor was professionally rebuilt. Original paint, and chrome all the chrome is in good shape, and the front stainless steel grill is still in excellent condition. There is no bondo in the car but there are a few dents on the sides where it scraped coming out of the garage as the owners aged and their eyesight started to go. It will need the interior redone it was a southern california car from palm springs and it is very hot in the summer but dry all year round, that's why the car is so rust free however the leather interior from the heat and age has gotten dry and cracked and needs to be re-done. Same applies to the dash pad. The headliner has 3-small holes but i would replace it also. The interior chrome is in great shape with only minor pitting. The engine is all original and runs great, all the lights and turn signals work. The trunk of the car is pretty much rust free and dry. Original trunk liner is still in trunk. This car needs some restoration, but is not a major rust bucket. Car has 76,100 original miles and does not appear to smoke or use oil. It has factory dual exhaust. 1 family-owner car. This is a running and driving car and could be a daily driver while restoring. He had the car brought to oregon where it was in dry storage. All other glass is excellent. Seller's comments and description: 1973 chevy nova rolling chassis. Nova has an older repaint with ghost flames. Car has been setting idle for a few years and has a few paint issues. Driver side roof rain channel has some rust and a small bubble starting on passenger front fender. I had the nova detailed, but signs of tinny spots still appear under the clear coat, on roof, hood and trunk. No problems with the sides. Nova has nice straight body lines and a nice shine for age. Body has rear fender tubes. ( see pictures ) still a good 10 footer. Nova had a bbc with standard transmission.
